Spectra® 1600 Denier [180] (S-1000)

Spectra® 1600-180 is one of the world’s strongest (38 / 3.25 g/den) and lightest fibers with a denier of 1600 / 1779. The breaking strength of this product is 135 lbs with an elongation of 3.3%.

Honeywell Spectra® fiber provides lightweight, dependable strength in demanding applications. Produced using a patented gel-spinning process, it is:

  • A bright white polyethylene fiber with high resistance to chemicals, water and ultraviolet light
  • Stronger than steel and 40 percent stronger than aramid fiber
  • Capable of withstanding high-load strain-rate velocities
